Today the Select Committees formed to investigate the proposed removal from office of 4 Members of the Bomet County Public Service met to deliberate on the work-plans which include the schedule for the pre-trial and hearing sessions.
Siongiroi MCA Hon. Kibet Ngetich had brought a motion proposing the removal by impeachment against 4 board members on the grounds of violating the Constitution and other laws, gross misconduct, incompetence and non-compliance with court orders.
The 4 board members facing charges are the Chairperson to the Board Eng. Alexander Ngeno, the vice chair Ms. Milcen Soi, and the board members Mr. Isaiah Byegon and Mr. David Tuei.
During today's sitting the members elected the leadership of the select committees. Hon. Eric Kirui (MCA, Kimulot Ward) was elected the Chairperson to the select committee investigating the allegations against the board chair Eng. Alexander Ngeno while Longisa Ward MCA Hon. Stephen Changmorik will lead the committee investigating the allegations against Ms. Milcen Soi .
Singorwet Ward MCA Hon. Josphat Kipkirui chairs the Committee investigating allegations against Mr. Isaiah Byegon while Chepchabas Ward MCA Hon. Wesley Kiprotich chairs the select Committee investigating allegations levelled against Mr. Davis Tuei.
The committees are expected to conclude the investigations, and hearing and produce a report to be tabled at the floor of the House within 21 days.
