NATIONAL WATER HARVESTING AUTHORITY VISITS THE ASSEMBLY

The County Assembly received a delegation from National Water Harvesting & Storage Authority led by the Acting Chief Executive Officer John K. Muhia. The purpose of their visit was to sign a contract for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of 80,000 litres elevated steel water tank for the Assembly. Welcoming the delegation ,the County Assembly Speaker Hon. Cosmas Kipngetich Korir lauded the Authority for its role in ensuring access to clean and safe water which is a fundamental human right. He underscored the abundant availability of water resources within Bomet county, challenging the Authority to invest its resources and technology across Bomet county to ensure a seamless supply of water not only in the region but countrywide. Present during the meeting was the Assembly Clerk Mr. Isaac Kitur who welcomed the partnership noting that the initiative is poised to enhance water storage capacity and accessibility within the County Assembly. The Authority's acting CEO John Muhia, stated that the Authority is excited to collaborate with the Assembly on water project implementation. He assured the Assembly leadership of timely and high-quality completion of the project. He also underscored his institution' s commitment to work with county governments .
