Today, Wednesday, 2nd November 2022, the County Assembly passed a Motion approving the appointment of Mr. Andrew Sigei for the position of County Executive Committee Member (CECM) in charge of Finance, ICT and Economic Planning.
The House also passed Motions approving the names of CECM nominees Mrs. Rosa Chepngetich (Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives), Dr. Benard Cheruiyot Tonui (Water, Sanitation, Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change) and Josphine Chepkoech (Gender, Culture and Social Services).

In its afternoon sitting, however, the County Assembly rejected a report of the Committee on Appointments to reject the appointment of Hon. Juliah Chepkuto to the position of CECM in charge of Trade, Energy, Tourism, Investment and Industry.
Subsequently, Hon. Dancel Kirui (MCA, Ndaraweta) moved a Notice of Motion for the approval of Hon. Juliah Chepkuto to the said position. The County Assembly Business and Rules Committee is yet to allocate time for the debate of the Motion.
The Motions to adopt the Committee on Appointment's reports on CECM nominees Dr. Kirui Kipngetich Joseph (Administration, Public Service and Special Programs) and Ngeno Chepkorir Agnes (Education, Youth, Sports and Vocational Training) are set to be debated by the House tomorrow, Thursday, 3rd November 2022 at 2:30 p.m.
