IMPEACHMENT MOTIONS HEARING

The County Assembly Select Committees on 26, August 2024  conducted a hearing session for the removal from office of Hon. Erick Kipkoech Ngetich the County Executive Committee Member for Roads, Transport and Public works and Hon. Joseph Kipngetich Kirui the County Executive Committee Member for Administration, Public Service and special Programmes. 

During the sittings, the Committee received submission from Advocate Desmond Leteipa, the legal Counsel representing Hon. Erick Kipkoech Ngetich and Hon. Joseph Kipngetich Kirui. Also, during the meeting Mr. Joseph Kiplangat Koech ,a village manager from Raia village in Merigi  Ward testified in support of the impeachment of the CECM for Administration. 

The sitting resumed on  27, August 2024  with the County Executive Committee Member for Finance and Economic Planning Hon. Andrew Sigei appearing before the Committee.  The Committee also received submissions from Advocate Desmond Leteipa, the legal Counsel representing Hon. Andrew Sigei. Additionally, the former Chairperson for Bomet Water and Sanitation Company, Mr. Stanley Orwasa Ngeno testified in support of the CECM Finance and Economic Planning impeachment. The Select committees  were thereafter tasked to prepare  reports for tabling before the floor of the Assembly.
