The Speaker Hon. Cosmas Korir yesterday presided over an award presentation ceremony to winners and participants of the just concluded County Assemblies Sports Association (CASA) games.
During this year's CASA games Bomet County Assembly emerged as the overall 2nd runners-up performing well particularly in Handball, Athletics, Field and track events and Indoor games.
During the event, the Speaker commended the participants for the hard work, dedication and success during the competition. He emphasized on the importance of sports and called out for regular practice by the teams.
The County Assembly Clerk Mr. Isaac Kitur while lauding the teams underscored the importance of sporting events in enhancing performance in the work environment.
Also present during the meeting was the Majority leader Hon. Paul Kirui, the Minority leader Hon. Kibet Ng'etich, County Assembly Sports coordinator Hon. Ernest Kipkemoi (MCA, Mogogosiek Ward), Members of the County Assembly and Staff.
