As part of its oversight role, the County Assembly Budget and Appropriation Committee led by the Chair Hon. Eric Kirui embarked on a verification process of projects implemented during the previous financial years but pending payment.
The Committee toured all the 25 wards to ascertain the existence of the projects, level of implementation/completion, and quality of the work. During the ground tour, the committee noted that some projects were completed and done to the expected standard. However, some were marked as eligible for pay but the projects were incomplete whilst some were poorly done.
